Overview
The Business Development Representatives (BDR) drive impact at Recharge by identifying and qualifying a high number of quality leads, and communicating Recharge’s value proposition to prospective merchants during the initial phase of the sales process.
What you’ll do
- Live by and champion our values: #day-one, #ownership, #empathy, #humility.
- Help drive sales growth through new customer acquisition and surfacing of under-penetrated inbound pipeline.
- Identify and target emerging merchants; while conducting and observing discovery calls to learn more about what the merchant is looking to achieve.
- Communicate Recharge’s value proposition and technical abilities to prospective merchants during the initial phase of the sales process.
- Transition engaged merchants into the hands of the Account Executive team based on an acceptance-oriented methodology.
- Independently manage a pipeline with multiple prospects, utilizing Hubspot and Outreach.io to document progress and drive these accounts simultaneously.
- Gain extensive experience working closely with our sales team.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Recharge and create a fantastic first impression with our merchants.
During your 12 weeks as a BDR intern, you can expect:
- 1 week of Recharge onboarding to learn the ins and outs of our company
- 4 weeks acting as a BDR working warm, inbound leads generated by Recharge’s Marketing Efforts
- 6 weeks acting as a outbound BD; cold calling to source new opportunities for the Recharge Sales team
- 2 weeks to shadow our Account Executives through the entire sales cycle with real live Recharge merchants.
What you’ll bring
- Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Enthusiasm to learn and absorb as much knowledge as possible throughout your experience.
- Currently studying to obtain a degree in business, marketing, or related field.
